anice - ffipp paris 2018-2019
I joined FFIPP in 2018 when I participated in the summer program in Israel/Palestine. I spent two months with the Sounds of Palestine team where I learned about the living conditions of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank. It was an experience filled with knowledge and human contact that is unforgettable. When I returned to France, I spent a year working with the Paris chapter. This section is recognized by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and many other universities in Paris. This means that any student from Paris can apply to be part of the summer program and can get involved in the association. We have organized film screenings, lectures on the Israeli settlements, the Nakbah and others. Many of our events had the ambition of transmitting our experience on the ground in order to raise awareness about these issues, and we organized, on this occasion, a workshop of testimony of our experience.
This year, due to the health crisis, FFIPP will organize a digital summer program. This is a good opportunity to learn about the conflict and the reality of the ground. I can only advise you to get involved in the summer program and then share these experiences as this association that has taught me so much.
