Become an advocacy & development volunteer
We are looking for passionate students with an interest in human rights, international politics and the Middle East to join the boards of FFIPP Europe’s local chapters. The board of a local chapter consists of a small group of volunteers that are expected to meet regularly and work together throughout the year. The position demands students who are motivated, resolute and are able work well with others.
For volunteers in local FFIPP chapters, responsibilities include….
Advocacy for human rights in Palestine / Israel through
Organising events such as lectures, panel discussions, film screenings, photo exhibitions, etc. Here, you can find some examples of what the current FFIPP chapters are organising.
Utilising the FFIPP social media platforms to engage students in the issue
Development of the organisation through
Administrative tasks such as managing organisational documents.
Fundraising for the educational summer programme 2024.
Participation in recruitment processes.
We ask volunteers to commit for one year minimum.

We offer:
5-week educational programme, including lectures and discussions with Palestinian and Israeli activists, NGOs and academics. The first two weeks of the programme will presumably be online and the final week will take place in France.
The opportunity to gain valuable working experience in an international non-profit organisation.
Housing and some food expenses during the educational programme in France.
A certificate of participation in FFIPP.
A place in an active worldwide student network.
The ability to develop organisational and fundraising skills.
The resources to raise awareness for human rights in an academic setting.
requirements
Applicant must be a student enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme at a university in the academic year of 2024-2025.
Applicants must be situated in cities/countries with a local chapter.
There are also opportunities for students in the United States and Brazil.
An interest in the Middle East, Palestine/Israel, human rights and international politics.
Ability to join the educational programme in Summer 2024.
Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a group.
English proficiency.
Previous experience in advocacy, fundraising, board / group work, leadership roles is desirable, but not a requirement.
